Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thailand fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC fighter and Former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina then followed up with took home a silver in 2007, a bronze in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in by ringing in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 World Light Welterweight Championships in 2012, the Lightweight Lion Fight Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She took the fight by the unanimous verdict. She left the club and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's striking skills were superior and allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended following the win. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale to be fought by Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Kim through a unanimous win, however she fell in her following fight against Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova during UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke. She was also awarded the fight of the night bonus for the fight. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
