Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26th, 1991) is better known under her real title Ari Lennox is an American singer and songwriter who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist affiliated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. The label debuted her first EP, Pho, in October of 2016 when she began getting noticed. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox first uploaded music online in 2012. Her debut album Ariography and her mixtape debut in 2013 five Finger Discount. She continued to upload her music online in 2014, including the independently-released single Bound. On 21st of July the 21st of July in 2015 Omen was featured on Elephant Eyes song Sweat It Out. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's references. Then, later in the year, her music was played throughout Dreamville. On December 8 she signed with Dreamville Records. On the record Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the song Backseat along with Cozz. In the month of October, she released her first EP, Pho. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017, in which she supported by EarthGang. In 2018, she appeared on two tracks with her labelmates EarthGang for Nothing but the Best. and Bas On Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single from Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on the 16th of July in 2018, which was released on July 16th, 2018. The music video followed by a music video in September. Then on the 9th of November, she released another two singles called 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). In November 2013, she released her debut album No One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby then made appearances on the Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. The singer released the single as a way in order to announce her debut album Creed II on 26 February 2019. In February the music video for this song was released. It has had over three million YouTube views in just one week. In December 2018, she was part of the From East Atlanta With Love Tour, which featured 6LACK.
